Wool Top:  One of a Kind Batches & More

Wool top, also called roving, is available pre-dyed on this page; or natural and custom dyed on this one.  I dye each batch myself and handle it as little as possible to insure a soft, easily drafted fiber.  Many times I have purchased lovely handpainted fibers only to find out that they are slightly felted, making them hard to spin or require pre-drafting.  All the tops listed below are lofty and a pleasure to spin. 

Handpainted fibers can be split into several thinner lengths before spinning if even color distribution is desired.
Spin from the undivided top or halved top for stripe effects.
