Wool, Mohair & Alpaca

Animal fibers are very versatile yarns. They are easy work with, and easy to dye--as long as you take care not to felt them. All wools should be hand washed except superwash wool, which is machine washable. There's a little bit of everything here--a variety of weights, novelty yarns and boucle; all sold in half pound skeins. This is 228 g, equivalent to about four and half 50g balls. Most of these yarns are kept in stock at all times--these are indicated by the pink squares. Blue squares indicate yarns that are special ordered and take 3 additional days to ship (if we don't have any on hand).

	Periwinkle 100% Wool This is super fun yarn. The bulky weight makes for instantly gratifying projects and the soft wool soaks up the dye allowing for some neat watercolor effects. This yarn is one bulky thick and thin strand wrapped with a fine wool thread. Similar to Colinette Point Five, but softer and cheaper!
