Carders, Cards, and Combs

Carders allow you to take your spinning to a whole new level. Whether you want to start with a raw fleece and prepare it yourself, or whether you prefer mixing several different types of fibers--from wool to sparkle--you'll find that it is easily done with a drum carder.

Louet drum carders are high quality, easy to use, and very economical. They come with a lifetime warranty from Louet. The drum teeth are twice as long as most drum carders allowing you to get twice as much fiber on the drum. There is no need to tease the fibers beforehand making other equipment unnecessary.

If you prefer to do things completely by hand, take a look at the hand carders listed below. While carding with hand cards is more labor intensive they are an inexpensive introduction to the types of yarns you can create by blending fibers.
